Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
In short. Apps are delivered the moment you pay, so all sales are final: no refunds for change of mind, not liking an app, buying by mistake, or a Mac that doesn't meet the listed requirements. We refund only double charges, orders we couldn't deliver, and anything the law says we must.
1. All sales are final
MegaMac apps are digital content delivered immediately after payment. Each app's page shows what it does and exactly which Macs it works on. Please check before you buy: Apple menu, then About This Mac.
Once delivery has started, we don't give refunds, credits or exchanges, including for:
- changing your mind, or not liking or not using an app;
- buying by mistake, or buying the wrong app;
- a Mac or macOS version that doesn't meet the requirements listed on the app's page;
- features you expected that the app's page doesn't describe;
- damage to your Mac or anything else from using an app (see the Terms of Use);
- deactivation of your key because you broke the EULA or the Acceptable Use Policy;
- a price drop, sale or bundle offer after your purchase.
2. Cancellation and the 14-day right to cancel
- There's nothing to cancel: purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions.
- Some countries (including the EU and UK) give consumers 14 days to cancel online purchases. For digital content, that right ends once delivery begins, if you asked for immediate delivery and acknowledged losing it.
- At checkout, the text next to the Pay button says that by paying you ask us to deliver straight away and accept that you lose your right to cancel once the download starts. Paying is that request and acknowledgement. Your order confirmation email repeats it.
- If mandatory law where you live still gives you a right to cancel, you can use it by emailing us within the period the law allows. We'll then refund that purchase and deactivate its keys.
3. When we do refund
- Charged twice, or for something you didn't order: we refund the extra charge.
- Nothing arrived: if you didn't get your key or download and we can't deliver it within a reasonable time, we refund the order.
- Key doesn't work and we can't fix or replace it within a reasonable time: we refund that app.
- Required by law: if an app is faulty or not as described on a Mac that meets its listed requirements, we'll first try to fix it. If we can't within a reasonable time, you get the remedy the law gives you, which may be a price reduction or a refund for that app.
4. Bundles and packs
A bundle or pack is a set of separate app licenses sold together at a lower price. If one app in it qualifies for a refund under section 3, we refund that app's share of what you actually paid, worked out in proportion to the apps' individual prices. The other apps stay yours.
5. How to ask
- Email hello@megamac.app with your order ID (or the email you bought with), the app, and what went wrong. Screenshots or a short video help us fix it fast.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method through Dodo Payments, our merchant of record. Your bank may take a few days to show it.
- When a refund is issued, the license keys for the refunded apps are deactivated and those apps stop working.
6. Before you go to your bank
Please contact us first. A chargeback takes weeks; we usually sort things out in a day or two. While a chargeback is open, the keys for that order are deactivated. Chargebacks for purchases that were delivered as described may be disputed.
7. Your statutory rights
This policy doesn't affect rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live, including India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and EU and UK consumer law. Where the law gives you more, the law wins.
